CASHIER

You play a major role in how our customers feel when they leave the store.
You might be the first, last, and sometimes only associate a customer interact with.
That’s why it’s so important to smile, greet, and thank every customer with a positive attitude.
The pace can be intense, especially in the evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons.
Stand for long periods of time while checking out customers quickly and accurately.
Keep your area clean and presentable.
Answer customer questions and help them with their needs.
Be available to assist associates across the store as needed.

Customer Service:
  •  Provides superior customer service; looks for ways to go above and beyond what our customers
    expect.
  •  Answers product-related questions for customers, and offers additional or alternative products
    and services
Cash-Handling:
  •  Processes customer transactions of goods and services.
  •  Collects cash, check, or charge payment from customers and makes change for cash
    transactions.
  • Uses an electronic scanner to record prices.
  • Weighs items, bags merchandise.
  • Monitors and manages potential front-end shrink.
  • Performs Customer Service Assistant duties frequently.
Background:
  • Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales.
  • Basic PC knowledge.
  • Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS.
  • Good math skills.
  •  Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Customer satisfaction-oriented.
  •  High school degree.

CHEF

Chefs perform various functions in restaurants that ensure meals are prepared and presented to customers
satisfactorily.

  • Maintain good relationship with customers and suppliers (resolving issues with suppliers if
    any arises)
  • Strictly follow and adhere to the budget of the restaurant, by ensuring that supplies and/or
    orders are in line with the budget and supervising food and labor cost(s).
  • Make sure that kitchen safety measures are met and that sanitation practices are carried out
    to the letter.
  • Create new methods and recipes in preparation of meals.
  • Make sure that the restaurant keeps up with new trends in the industry.
  • Maintain a work schedule for kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of activities in the kitchen
    and the restaurant at large.
  • Make sure that meal is prepared and served to customers in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels to place orders for supplies as at when due.
  • Create menus that tend to suit the needs of customers, and in some cases suggest new
    dishes to customers.
Requirements

Good and effective communication skills to be able to pass ideas across to kitchen staff and understand
what exactly customers want.

  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate activities in pressing situations.
  • Good time management skills to complete many tasks and meet set targets.
  • Must be creative and proactive in attending to the various needs of customers.

  • A respectable knowledge of food handling and environmental sanitation standards.
  • A bachelor’s degree in culinary arts.
  • Any other form of certification in catering would be of added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of work experience as a chef in any good and reputable restaurant.
  • A minimum of 1 year in a chef-supervisory role.

Kitchen Helper

We are looking to hire a hard-working kitchen helper to clean, stock, and maintain the kitchen as well as
help with the preparation of meal ingredients. The kitchen helper’s responsibilities include retrieving
ingredients from the refrigerator, freezer, and stockroom, measuring ingredients as per the cook’s
instructions, and removing leftovers from patrons’ plates, bowls, and glasses. You should also be able to
ensure that all work areas are properly sanitized.

To be successful as a kitchen helper, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of proper food handling
procedures and remove expired or spoiled ingredients from the refrigerator, freezer, and stockroom.
Ultimately, an outstanding kitchen helper should be able to follow all food health and safety regulations
and display exceptional organizational skills to ensure the timely completion of kitchen duties.

  • Preparing meal ingredients for the cook, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing
    ingredients.
  •  Properly washing and drying all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments and cutting boards.
  • Neatly putting away all utensils, cooking instruments, dishes, and cutting boards in their
    respective places.
  • Packing take-out orders as needed.
  • Removing garbage, replacing garbage bags, and washing garbage cans.
  • Mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required.
  • Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.

Network and Computer Systems Administrator

Maintaining computer networks including windows, Linux, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.

  • Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current
    networks.
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers,
    switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
  • Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
  • Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
  • Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep
    data and communications protected.
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems.
  • Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and
    Management.
  • Implementing disaster recovery procedures.
  • Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to
    offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.
  • Network Engineers will work in-house or be assigned to project management teams.
  • Arranging scheduled upgrades.
  • Investigating faults in the network.
  • Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
  • Reporting network status to key stakeholders.
  • As part of an organization’s IT team, Network Engineers work with Infrastructure Architects
    and IT Managers.
Network Engineer job qualifications and requirements

Holding a degree and having a technical background will be required to gain a Network Engineer role.
Degrees in the following subjects can be included:
